Slag Handling

Lucky minerals handles 12,00,000 tonnes of slag annually, which is one of the toughest  operations  in  the  steel industry. The slag in its molten form can have temperatures ranging unto 1200oC and requires scientific cooling with the help of treated water and high pressure fogging systems.

Subsequently, modified machinery with heat resistant enforcements are used to handle and  transport  this molten slag to its designated pit. With the use of these processes, lag is cooled down in the open yard which is then taken for crushing and metal recovery
